Skilled riders and magazine reviewers know you don’t need a rear shock to get rad on the toughest trails. You just need a Whyte 900 series hardtail.
Already hailed as the greatest Trail Hardtail ever, we’ve literally turned it up to 11 right through the range for 2017. Even the 901 now charges climbs and rips out of corners with SRAM’s new NX groupset and the pure lines of our first dedicated SCR hardtail frame.
Because a kick-ass hardtail doesn’t have to kick your ass we’ve also teamed our snake hipped, shock eating, Boost width rear stays with high volume, tubeless 2.4in WTB tyres on super wide 29mm rims. Custom micro reach, wide bar cockpits give precision power steering authority through colour coded RockShox or Fox forks and the 905 and 909 come preloaded with stealth dropper posts and sweet shifting BBX control routing.
In other words, everything you need for High Definition trail domination without the extra weight, faff or winter worries of full suspension.
It’s All About The Geometry
With the 901, it’s all about the geometry – it will make you feel more confident in all situations than any hardtail you’ve ever ridden. For 2017 we have an all new 1 by specific frame, with a 12mm bolt through Boost rear axle, giving extra stiffness and increased chain clearance.
The award winning 901 features the “Get A Grip” seat post clamp system. This allows quick adjustment, fantastic weather proofing and a nice ergonomic lever which is easy to operate however cold your hands might be.
Award Winning Trail Control
The award winning 905 is back and better than ever for 2017, with a dropper post, SRAM GX 1 by 11 and WTB wide rims with high air volume TCS tyres. All these features give the rider even more “Trail Control”.
Latest Generation Frame
The 905 has an all new frame for 2017 with “Intergrip” seat post clamp system, new BBX internal cable routing and 12mm bolt through Boost rear axle, giving extra stiffness and increased chain clearance.
Best Of Breed Components
Our top-end trail hardtail is dripping with lust-worthy components such as Shimano’s XT M8000 1 by 11 groupset and brakes, RaceFace’s Turbine Clinch direct mount chainset system with a 30mm alloy Boost axle and screw in BSA BB cups.
Amazing Steering Precision
For 2017 the 909 gets full-on Enduro/Trail attitude with the all new Fox 34 fork, with its GRIP damper, which gives amazing steering precision and poise when combined with Whyte’s trail geometry.
